About Gloria Saylor
Owner/Chef/Operator

Having always enjoyed being a part of what her family calls the “people business” she feels privileged to finally bring her families recipes and southern hospitality to the DMV area.
A Virginian at heart, Gloria was exposed to the world of southern cooking at a young age. Her first position as “sous chef in training” was in her home kitchen in Charlottesville, VA. This is where her mother and grandmother taught her the unique, secret family recipes and techniques. They were always patient and encouraging in making sure each item was prepared to perfection. Over the years, Gloria has been able to emulate these unique recipes that are known to have family and friends coming back for seconds. As an experienced chef, she adds her own southern twist and flavors while maintaining the integrity of her family recipes.
Gloria’s fond memories of time spent in her family kitchen coupled with her passion for cooking inspired her to pursue her professional cooking and baking degree from Baltimore International College in 2000. She brings over 20 years
of hospitality management experience to the table including conference, event planning and sales. She has held senior roles at the Four Seasons Hotel in Washington DC in catering sales, conference services management, and corporate sales.
