CONNECTING HOPE WITH opportunity

OUR HISTORY
The Transcontinental Empowerment Corporation (TEC) was organized as a non-profit corporation to work toward alleviating the causes and conditions of low income communities with a centralized focus in Alexandria, Virginia.
At that time TEC was formed to advance the mission and goals of its non-formalized predecessor, Action Chapel VA Empowerment Center. To better facilitate the mandate of organizing and focusing all available resources and community facilities for the betterment of impoverished individuals, establishing a separate organization was necessary.
OUR MISSION
TEC’s mission is to restore HOPE and enrich the lives of individuals, families and children stricken with poverty around the globe.
MAKING HOPE HAPPEN
Empowering lives and restoring hope takes collaboration.
Each year, TEC works in partnership with local organizations, other non-profits, churches and business to mobilize resources and connect individuals and communities with essential resources they need to be successful.
Our core programs are geared to provide basic essentials such as food, water, emergency shelter, education and medical supplies, relief resource and community outreach.
